Kiveshan Thumbiran: Exploring South African artistry through the lens of Indian mythology

Artist Kiveshan Thumbiran creates art that blends Indian mythology with contemporary South African elements.

His goal is to enlighten the masses in South Africa about Indian religion and culture and foster equal respect for Indian culture in the country.

A lecturer at Stellenbosch University, Kiveshan's fascination with Hindu mythology began by watching the TV show 'Ramayana.'

He is proficient in drawing, sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, videography, and digital art.
