Jalandhar erupts with the sounds of dhol as India bags hockey medal

In Jalandhar family members and villagers of the Indian hockey team celebrated their victory in the Tokyo Olympics.

Firecrackers were burst as everyone danced to the beats of the dhol to celebrate this historic win.

The team won the bronze medal after defeating Germany at the Tokyo Olympics.

It is also to be noted that India won the medal ending a 41-year wait for the sport.

The last time India won a medal in hockey was back in 1980.
