In 1999, Sriram Aylur moved to London to open a South Indian restaurant Quilon to make the people of UK familiar with the nuances of Indian cuisine that was largely left untouched by the chefs till then. And a decade later, he made Quilon win its first Michelin star – something that it has retained till now.
