According to the Hurun Rich List 2022, India is home to a total of 166 billionaires. Among the Indians, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani are followed by Shiv Nadar, Cyrus Poonawalla, Radhakishan Damani, Lakshmi Mittal, Savitri Jindal, Kumar Birla, Dilip Shanghvi, and Uday Kotak.

The chairperson of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, is the richest person, not just in India but Asia, according to the latest report by Forbes. He is also the tenth-richest person in the world, with a net worth of $90.7 billion. Gautam Adani is a close second with a net worth of $90 billion. He’s ranked number 11 in the world.

There are a total of 11 Indian female industrialists and entrepreneur who are billionaires. According to the Forbes Billionaires List 2022, Savitri Jindal, chairperson of the Jindal Group, is the richest woman in India, with a net worth of $17.7 billion. Name such as Falguni Nayar, CEO of Nykaa, Leena Tewari, Chairperson of USV Private Limited and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Founder of Biocon are also part of the billionaires list.

Industrialist Azim Premji is the top Indian philanthropist. With a donation of ₹9,713 crore, Azim Premji, the founder chairman of Wipro, has topped the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2021. HCL Technologies founder-chairman Shiv Nadar retains the second spot while the richest Indian Mukesh Ambani came in at the third spot.

About 17 Indian entrepreneurs, aged under 40, have been featured in the Hurun self-made rich list. Together, they hold a fortune of ₹45,000 crore. Some of the prominent Indian billionaires who made it to this list are Nithin Kamath, Nikhil Kamath, Ritesh Agarwal, Deepinder Goyal, Sachin Bansal, and Binny Bansal.
