Many Indian designers have carved a niche for themselves in the world of haute couture. They have been making a mark on international grounds, dressing some of the who's who of Hollywood and royalty alike. Som of the most well-known Indian names in the designing industry are Gauri-Nainika, Saloni Lodha, Manish Arora, Naeem Khan, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Alpana and Neeraj, Gaurav Gupta, Amit GT, Bibhu Mohapatra, Rocky S, and Manav Gangwani.

Along with fame many Indian designers have also made a lot of money in the glamour industry. In India, the name Manish Malhotra is synonymous with fashion. With revenues of about 230 crores, he is India's richest fashion designer and always stands at number 1. Manish has dressed celebrities both in real life and on the big screen. His fashions aren’t only confined to India; he’s styled Halima, Kylie Minogue, Renee Witherspoon, late Michael Jackson, and a slew of other Hollywood stars.

Indian designers have created a tempest in the glamour world, and many of them have a long list of international clienteles. Designers such as Bibhu Mohapatra, Manish Arora, Naeem Khan, Saloni Lodha, and Gauri-Nainika have designed for several international celebrities including Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton, Emma Watson, and Demi Lovato.
