Mohun Bagan Super Giant defeated Nepal's Machhindra FC 3-1 in their AFC Cup 2023 round two match.

The top scorers were Anwar Ali from India (38', 86') and Jason Cummings from Australia (59').

Formed in 1889 by Bhupendra Nath Bose, Mohun Bagan is one of the oldest clubs in Asia and the world.

The club is owned by Sanjiv Goenka.

The 134-year-old club was included in the Club of Pioneers, a network of the oldest existing football clubs around the world.

Mohun Bagan SG will next face Bangladesh’s Abahani Dhaka in the AFC Cup south zone playoffs on August 22.
