makes India proud again, crowned as World Champion in javelin throw.
Neeraj becoming the first Indian athlete to win
World Athletics Championships
gold medal during the men's javelin throw final event in Budapest.
He launched the javelin to a distance of 88.17 m, which was the highest in the event.
"This is a very proud moment for our country as we got a gold medal in the World Championship as well," Neeraj's father Satish Kumar to ANI.
Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan came second at 87.82m. Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch took the bronze in 86.67m.
