Asian Americans are the fastest-growing major racial or ethnic group in the United States. More than 20 million Asians live in the U.S., and almost all trace their roots to at least 19 countries across Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of US Census Bureau data.
When it comes to annual median income, Indian Americans are ahead of their counterparts from the rest of Asia.
As per the US Census Bureau, Indian Americans have an annual median income of $125,000. They are followed by the Filipino Americans ($100,000), other Asian Americans ($94,000) and the Chinese Americans and Japanese Americans (both $85,000).
