Shankari Chandran won the 2023 Miles Franklin literary award, considered to be Australia’s most prestigious book award. Her book, ‘Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens’ inspired by stories she heard from her grandmother about her life and childhood.

She was just 8 when she wrote her first book The Tale of Twinkling Tweens, and by 14, she had two books under her belt. Her novel True made it to the Kindle Bestseller List.

Korea week in Chennai
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai in association with Korean Culture Centre, New Delhi and non-profit organisation InKo Centre Chennai conducted Korea Week. Performers from Korea travelled to take part in the event.
