The Indian Dance Educators Association celebrated Silver Screen Festival – 75 years of classical dance in Indian cinema, at Olney Theater Center in Washington DC. The event included panel discussions and captivating Indian classical dance performances.

Indian sculptor Ram V Sutar designed the world's tallest statue, Statue of Unity. He also designed notable statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Kempegowda, BR Ambedkar, and The Krishna Arjun Rath. He received The Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards for his work.
Japan Foundation promotes film on Ramayana
Animation film, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama was screened at 17th Mumbai International Film Festival. Co-directed 30 years ago by father of Indian animation, late Ram Mohan, and Japanese helmers Yugo Sako and Koichi Sasaki was digitally remastered.
